Vroom Vroom, engines were revving up at the NAIAS and also in my closet. In the days leading up to the events, I was having a hard time picking out looks & shoes that were "comfortable". I always feel as everything looks fancier with a pair of heels on but I did not want to kill my feet. But drum roll pleaseeeee....I scored a pair or Liz Claiborne strappy grey pumps that were actually pretty comfy.
What would you wear to the NAIAS? To be honest, I can't give you that answer. It's ANYTHING you like and would feel comfortable in [with some definite no's of course. i.e. pjs, minimal clothing, etc. you get my flow]. If you can walk around in 5 inch stilettos, I'm jealous.
The ladies that joined myself and SheBuysCars were all wonderfully dressed that matched their own personal style & I loved that! Fashion is self expression and fitting to your own, such as getting a car to fit your own.
Side note: I kind of fell in love with the Genesis G90. Their brand's colors are black & copper, black is my favorite color to wear & copper is just so pretty. "Respect is the New Luxury" Between Genesis's mantra & SMDI's (previous post) mantra, I have wonderful words to follow this year in my career.
Let's get back to What I Wore
I paired a slip dress with a cape blazer & grey pump. A simple, classic look with some sass. Feet were dying by end of day, did a lot of wall leans & sitting.
Cape: Style Moi Dress: Express Shoes: Liz Claiborne (JcPenney)
Boots were on my mind today. Paired a velvet romper with spotted tights and a long vest with over the knee boots.
Romper: Express Tights: Berkshire Vest: Banana Republic
We started off with pumps then boots now flats. I went a little more business casual with this black dress & blazer with a side of Mustang.
If you are in or around the Metro Detroit area, I would make a trip to the NAIAS Public show starting this Saturday January, 14th. Details here.
With love & NAIAS,
SheBuysCars is hosting an amazing giveaway that includes:
