Detroit, local designers, fashion, drinks & a dog. Yes I said dog.
Walk Fashion Show continuously showcase local talents from city to city. With a portion of the proceeds to benefit HIV/AIDS awareness, combines fashion & cause with a purpose. I've had the chance to attend several Walk Fashion Shows, including New York and the one reason why I keep attending is to be able to see local designers that may not have another platform to showcase their talents. It only takes one pair of eyes to spread the word & the right one could take their line to another level.
Sunday evening's designers had a bit of everything fit for all types of fashion wearers & followers. Aren't afraid to show some skin? There was a line for you. 35 real women being themselves & walking the runway for the first time [that's pretty badass]. Bold colors, asymmetric cuts, outerwear, accessories, gowns, oh my! If you are in or around any of the cities that Walk Fashion stops in, I recommend you attending a show to experience & support local designers and their craft. For more information check out their website here.
Remember when I said dog? Check out this furry model strut the walkway in Joules Athletics.
Few of my favorites from the night.
What did I wear?
A little velvet love from Ten Sixty Sherman.
